Last summer, my "thoughts" ended with "We'll be back, bigger & better in 2003!"

WOW...what an understatement!!!

The 2003 LISBT was an overwhelming success for "A2Z" and I'd like to reflect back on all those Friday nights - 14 counting the 5-game Holiday Marathon opener - and express a heartfelt "Thank You" to:

Wendy Drusin...the "bank" was right to the penny every Friday night;

Donna Zagorski...entered all the names, lane assignments, scores and hit the "print" button (sorry about the lane changes):

Laurie Dalessio, Pam Dietz and Denise Matz - "running" lane to lane to record almost 5000 scores and managed to watch their boys bowl extremely well, too:

Corey Hirt...when he didn't make the finals, he helped me run the finals;

The proprietors, managers & staff at (in alphabetical order):

Garden City,
Sayville,
Shirley,
Smithtown,
Westbury,
Westhampton

The parents who "schlepped" the junior bowlers the length of Long Island;

The 1144 bowlers, whose participation, support, cooperation, positive e-mails and comments made it a summer to remember!!!

Poppa Z and I congratulated each other on our successful concluding night, breathed a sigh of relief and began to plan to meet to set up the 2004 LISBT,  in hopes of providing you, the LI adult and junior bowlers, with the "Best Damn Summer Tournament, Period"...
