A2Z bowling, in particular Poppa Z would like to apologize to every junior
bowler along with parents, relatives and friends present at Commack Vets Lanes
last night, Friday August 19, 2005 for 1) the lane assignment blunder and 2)
apologize on the behalf of Commack Vets Lanes for not having a capable backup
scoring system which resulted in 5 Jr bowlers needing to "rebowl" game 3 of
qualifying.
While we cannot control mechanical issues due to lanes and scoring
equipment, we would like to extend a thank you to everyone for having the
patience and understanding of the modern day issues with computers we all seem
to have from time to time. Not one voice was raised during the "out" time and
all seemed understanding.
The lane assignment clogging from last night in regards to the Junior
bowlers can be pinned on Poppa Z. While there really are no words to offer as
an explanation that can be spoken or written, we do hope that everyone does
acknowledge that A2Z "guys" Steve A and Poppa Z have done everything possible
for the last 5 years to ensure the kids have a good time, get to compete in a
healthy environment and in addition get to leave the center at what we
consider to be a decent time. The kids ARE our number one priority for the
night at all times. I personally, Poppa Z, was not on top of things as I should have been last
Friday night during checkin. The kids are always in our sights, we always put them
near our scoredesk to ensure all is well. I messed up last night, please
accept my apology. Only an occasion or two should we go to more than 8 on the
pair. I missed the bus last Friday night... plain and simple.
