A message to our bowlers
the pre-registration process for A2Z guarantees you an entry into the event. While we do give the bowlers an opportunity to "pair with" other bowlers, we all need to realize that if everyone that registered requested to be paired with certain bowlers, there would not be enough lane availability to fill the requests. Take into consideration the possibility of no shows for the evening makes it rather difficult as the time nears to the event to hold spots. Our policiy in the past has been first come first served in order to pair bowlers together. Check In starts 2 hours prior to the scheduled starting time for an A2Z event. A2Z is in house for all our events 3 hours prior to starting time as well in order for us to set up our equipment used during the event.

Korner.......... Unfortunate evening for 7 bowlers this past week at Port Jeff. There was a major malfunction on pair 21-21 during the practice session. The pair remained down for an extended period of time that resulted in A2Z directors "A" and "Z" needing to make the decision to withdraw the 7 bowlers on the pair from the event. The decision was made at the start of the 7th frame of game 1. While all of the 7 bowlers were disappointed in the ultimate decisions, all 7 bowlers fully understood the circumstances at that moment in time. A hearty thanks to those bowlers for the cooler heads that prevailed. All 7 bowlers will be on hand next week at Coram..... Club averages go into effect this week for Coram Lanes. Starting with the May 30, 2008 event at Sayville Lanes, bowlers that have 8 games completed with A2Z during qualifying will use that club average as an entering average. The 10 pin drop rule is in effect as well as a re-rate policy that A2Z enforces from time to time. A2Z reserves the right at all times to re-rate. Bowlers may challenge the re-rate as long as kicking, screaming, ranting, raving, pissing, moaning, throwing hissy fits, slamming doors, throwing cell phones through windows, stomping up and down, fake tears, or any other display of emotion that makes them look like Yosimite Sam are held to a minimum. Just thought we would throw that out there. For all others, its dial 1-800-stopsandbagging and remember A2Z is watching at all times. Have a good day! :o) Any tidbits or other news, email A2ZBOWLING @ aol.com or click here! |
