Section XI Boys Bowling Announcements

Scoring System:

1. Total available points per match is 33.

2. Each game is worth 9 points: 3 games = 27 Points.

    a) 4 points for the team that wins the game (2 each if tied)

    b) 5 points for individual match points.

3. 4 points for total pins knocked down (total wood) by the team knocking down the most pins for the 3 games combined. (2 points each if tied)

4. 2 points for the team that has the highest individual team game for game 1, game 2 or game 3

Summary:

12 team points. 3 games, 4 points each = 12 points

15 individual match points = 15 points

4 points for total wood = 4 points

2 points for high team game = 2 points.

NOTE: Ties DO split available points. Example: Bowler 1 home team ties Bowler 1 visiting team. 1/2 match point is credited to each team for team purposes and for individual bowler purposes. If a tie exists on a match point, .5 would be credited in regards to points. Therefore, it is possible a match could end up for example Home Team 22.5 points and the Visiting Team 11.5 points.
